I have true FEAR of going to the dentist. After years of risking my dental care, I split a tooth and was forced to seek help. I found Desert Cactus Dentistry and now I’m kicking myself in the butt for waiting so long. Dr. Mathew was very informative and patient. I can’t remember the dental assistants name but she NEVER judged me once. OMG Melissa… is truly AMAZING and not only did she take the time to take my call at the end of the day, she was able to get me in and was just as sweet in person as she was on the phone. I am def sending the rest of my family here and look forward to returning.
Had my 1st appointment at Desert Cactus Dentistry and was totally impressed. My hygienist, Brooke, was AMAZING and made the entire process very pleasant. The Dentist was very nice too and took time to explain to me what the potential issues are going on with my gums and teeth and showed me all of the images that they took so I could understand it. They provided a treatment plan with an affordable payment plan. I finally found a dentist here that I feel comfortable at and can trust. Can't wait for my next appointment in 6 months! Lol!

Such a family friendly environment. I have a 1 1/2 and pregnant and my little one doesn’t like to sit for long but those dental assistant helped so much and kept him occupied, got him a balloon and tooth brushes! They went out of their way and I highly appreciate it! My dental hygienist was so funny and kind and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Great team effort! 10/10 recommend.

Y’all I can not recommend this place enough! I have to go back in a few days for the rest of what I need done, but they made me so comfortable. They make sure you are well informed, comfortable, and calm. I will most definitely be sticking to this dentist office. Both dentists are OUTSTANDING and every interaction I had with any single person in this office was WONDERFUL. Everyone is so incredibly nice! EDIT: I went back in to get finished up, and everything was perfect again! I've been a patient of Desert Cactus for a few years now and I love it. All of the employees are great, my hygienist Tara is always amazing, and Dr. O is very knowledgeable and takes time to listen to any of my concerns. I'll admit, I initially had anxiety my first couple of visits. However everyone there is so friendly and easy to talk to that they really put me at ease. They were also able to fix all of the issues I was having with my teeth. Now I love going for my semi annual check ups and cleanings because my mouth always feels amazing afterwards. It's hard for me to believe, but for the first time in my life, I actually look forward to going to the dentist! With that being said, if you are looking for a great dentist with an amazing staff, I highly recommend Desert Cactus Dentistry.

Let me start by saying, I am terrified of the dentist. I have had dental issues my whole life and it has created a lot of fear and anxiety. Last night, I broke a molar and knew I couldn't put off being seen any longer. I found Desert Cactus through a Google search and saw all the fantastic reviews. I called first thing this morning, hoping I could maybe get in sometime next week. When I called they told me they could get me in right away, same day. I was scared, but headed in once I got off the phone. When I got there, I was greeted by a super friendly office staff member. It set the tone for the visit and calmed my nerves. I went back for my x-rays and a consultation. I met with Dr. Orzabal and he explained everything and went over a treatment plan with me. He was very kind and thorough. He checked my broken tooth and was very gentle. Throughout the visit I felt calm and at ease, which is not typical for me. I ended up needing a referral for a root canal, but I have a plan set up with Desert Cactus for my crown and next steps. Each person I encountered in the office was so kind and friendly. It really helped curb my dental anxiety. I highly recommend Desert Cactus, I will be sharing their name with my friends and family. 🙂

THEN - when I went in for my visit yesterday, she followed up asking if I felt better. Again, what?! They do a super comprehensive assessment of your teeth and give it to you straight. No judgement. I was looking for a new dentist with great staff as I am needing a tooth distraction and other work on my teeth. I, like many have a fear of going to the dentist, so I want a dentist and their staff to be caring and general. It feels like I may have found the right place after meeting the dentist and a few staff members! I was able to have X-rays next day after I inquired about them taking new patients and have an appointment in 2 weeks to get started working on my teeth! I am hoping for great results moving forward!

I came to Desert Cactus Dentistry with a broken tooth as a new patient with no appointment and was pleasantly surprised and relieved when I was told that they could take a look at it immediately. I was given the most thorough dental exam I have ever had by Dr. Orzabal and his excellent staff and to top it off I was told they could do a crown for my broken tooth THAT DAY! Lou was Amazing getting me in so quickly. Only to find out their office wasn't in my insurance network. Made me sad I have to go somewhere else. They made me feel better because the estimate for what I needed was thousands less and was getting what I needed. I'll miss this place. Maybe send lunch..
Dr Rachel Bryant took me in as a new patient today with no notice and I have several needs. Dr Bryant immediately identified the issues and prioritized the more urgent needs. A true professional as she prepped and fit a crown for me. I highly recommend Desert Cactus Dentistry.

OMG!!! Words cannot express how amazing this place is. I have a HUGE fear of the dentist and had to go back multiple times for different treatments. One including a root canal. Not once did I come across a person who wasn’t kind, happy, smiling, or anything negative. I was truly treated like family EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!! I would have a severe panic attack and they would comfort me and reassure me that it was normal and I wasn’t alone. They would laugh with me and completely calmed all my nerves and explained everything throughly so I understood what was happening. A HUGE shout out to Dr. B! She was the best and sincerely the kindest person ever! They made going to the dentist fun! A 100,000,000/10 recommend going here!!!!
It was very difficult for me to move from a dentist and a hygienist that I have had for over 15 years. I am a huge baby when it comes to my teeth or my mouth being touched. So, for the last 15 years I have had my gums numbed and/or have always had nitrous to ease my anxiety. I also thought that going to the dentist to have really nice teeth and healthy gums, every six months, meant that I needed to leave feeling in pain from a deep cleaning. All that has changed! From the moment I walked in until I left I felt as if I had been coming here forever. I was never once made to be feel as if I was a new patient. The front staff was friendly and helpful and greeted me with a smile as well as everybody else that came in and left. The hygienist assistant was friendly and gentle. My hygienist, Tara, is by far one of the most professional people I have met in the medical field in general. Tara took the time to explain every procedure she was about to do, stopping often to ensure I was not in pain and feeeing safe and comfortable. For the 1st time I did not need a needle in my mouth or nitrous, due to my anxiety issues. And I left with my teeth just as clean, no pain, and ready to come back in 6 months. I highly recommend Desert Dentistry in Surprise, AZ. for their professionalism, their state of the art facility, and a staff that includes their Dentists, who genuinely care about their patients’ well-being while at their office and educationally preparing them until the next visit. Oh! I l got cold while in there (nerves) and they brought me a comfy, plushy blanket. I wish I could add an extra star.

The best experience I've had at a dentist in my whole life! Everyone was extremely professional, caring and friendly. I came in with a broken tooth at 11 AM and was out by 2 PM with a new porcelain crown all completed in <3 hours. And best of all my insurance covered it all 100% Thanks Dr. O and staff for making a usually difficult situation so positive.

Desert Dentistry is an exceptional office! I have always been nervous visiting the dentist but this office has really changed my outlook. I became a patient a few weeks ago and from the moment I walked in the door, I felt welcomed. Dr. Orzabal cares a lot about making the patient comfortable and that really stood out to me. The assistants and front office staff are great. Melissa, the office manager, took the time to explain my treatment plan and all of my options so I get the best treatment possible. I am looking forward to becoming an established patient here and bringing my family in as well!

I have very sensitive teeth, so cleanings can be an uncomfortable process. Not sure how Tara does it, but she's so good I could almost fall asleep. I had the best experience here! My usual dentist was closed the day I needed to go in and they were able to give me an appointment the same day I needed one. Alysia & the other girl at the front desk were so nice and helpful. I even made my regular cleaning appointment while I was there and decided to cancel mine at my other dentist.

First went there last fall to have a crown replaced. There were some issues with the company that made the crown, but Dr O handled it and made sure everything was perfect before he put it in. I have had no trouble with the crown at all. Went back yesterday for a checkup and everyone was so nice and professional and I felt safe in this COVID environment. Tara was my hygienist and she was kind and professional and helpful. Dr O did an exam and he was also very kind and professional. I would recommend this place 100%. I always hated going to the dentist but it was a good experience at Desert Dentistry.

Dr O went above and beyond to make sure I was completely happy with the end result of my dental work. I am surrounded by great dental practices closer to my home but I continue to drive 40 minutes to this office, from the moment you walk in the door the entire Team is welcoming and professional.
Awesome people and facility
I was pleasantly surprised given I am not fond of dentists. I usually am berated for my mouth, which is negatively impacted by a lifetime of oral steroid use for my asthma. I had a dental emergency and they fit me in the same day, which I really appreciated. I will be using them for my regular dental care going forward.

My youngest (9 year old) had a spacer removed and a baby tooth extracted last week. He had a bad experience previously that made him afraid of dental procedures. The doctor and team did a great job making sure that he was comfortable and not afraid and most importantly PAIN FREE! Thank you for this experience that helped change his mind/attitude about going to the dentist!

As a senior citizen, I was reluctant to go back to the dentist for teeth cleaning, because of the coronavirus. I went back finally because they provided information on the safety precautions that they had taken to protect patients and the dental personnel. I found that they had made dramatic changes to prevent transmission of the virus during dental procedures. I was sufficiently reassured that I scheduled another procedure for next week.

The team at Desert Dentistry is truly amazing. I have never been treated with such care and patience by a team. I had to have a root canal done and haven't been to a dentist in quite some time. I have some dental anxiety which was clearly present during my appointment. Jacque ( I hope I am getting her name right) made me feel so comfortable and she was very warm and caring. I was referred to see Dr. Matthew Orzabal by my husband. I was very nervous as my last 2 experiences with dentist was aweful. From the moment I spoke to the receptionist on the phone my mind was at ease. I walked into an amazing office and was greeted immediately and taken back in a very timely manner. The tech was fantastic as she told me everything before it happened. I met with Dr. Orzabal who greeted me and told me the run down. After 4 hours at the office I was finally finished. I was truly taken care of and didnt feel much discomfort at all. I was able to start treatment same day and was able to get an appointment for the following week with my lovely hygienist. She explained everything perfectly and I was such at ease. I completed all my treatment and now I just started Invisalign :) This office by far was the best experience I have ever had a dental office. Thank you so much!! What a great team. Finally a dentist I can trust and be comfortable with.

Good service
Had a great experience here. It was 10-15 years that I hadn't been to a dentist and they were awesome. They got me in really fast for my appointment and extraction which was good because I was in a lot of pain. Dr. Orzabal explained everything and was very nice, made sure I was doing good the whole way through the extractions. They told me the price it would be up front and that is exactly what I paid. Would definitely recommend!

I love this dental group! From the front desk staff, who greet you by name, to the check out staff who help with setting up next appointments, they are friendly, professional and treat you like you are something other than a name on a chart. Dr. Orzabal and his support staff always take the time to explain what they are doing and why. I left behind a dentist I had used for over twenty years when I retired and moved to Arizona. I feel I have found an excellent replacement in Desert Dentistry and Dr. Orzabal.

I have had a very good experience at Desert Dentistry. The staff is friendly and caring. My Tech, Tara, is thorough and gentle. She was being shadowed by a new employee, Alecia (sp?) when I was there. The real treat was to listen to Tara guiding Alecia while they worked. They seemed to get along well and I learned a lot from their conversation. Dr. Orzabal is a skilled DMD, good guy and easy to understand when he explains things. I have two cap replacements coming up so I’ll reserve the fifth star for completion. Overall, I am happy with Desert Dentristy and would recommend them to others. I had to delay the installation of my permanent replacement caps because of the COVID19 quarantine, but the temporary caps Dr. O put in stood the test of time and I had no issues with them for the extra month it took. Desert Dentistry kept in touch with me through text and telephone until I felt comfortable being out and about again. All went beautifully and I feel well taken care of. They definitely earned that 5th star! Thanks to everyone at DD for the patience you exhibited and the caring attitude you foster.

Honestly, this place is really awesome. Front desk is friendly as heck, and the staff are too. They are very friendly and I hate going to the dentist since one bad experience with one company before coming here so it was relieving to find that there’s people who care about their job and friendly about it.

Disappointed with Dr. Roelens who I’m told is newer to the practice. I had several fillings scheduled all in one visit but he would not complete them all. I asked why this was but he didn’t give a straight answer and apologized for the scheduling staff messing up. When I asked the scheduling staff they informed me there was plenty of time to do the full procedure. I even received a call the day before asking me to come in 20 minutes early which I thought was for more time to do the full procedure. Now I have to schedule more time to do the rest. In general I do recommend this office for dental care. The staff here has always been great, dental cleanings are done very well and Dr. Roelens did good work. I’m just disappointed that he didn’t follow through on the full procedure and didn’t provide a reason. I don’t trust him now and expect better from a professional.

My hubby and i just moved to the Surprise area and we’re both very hesitant about going to the dentist let alone a brand new (to us) dentist! We both had to the most amazing experience! The check in and receptionist ladies were so sweet and helpful, we received super cute welcome gifts, as long as a tour of the office and the most amazing one on one treatment from the X-ray gal, hygienist, and doctor!!! Dr. Mitchell is so gentle. He takes the time to make every procedure pain-free. He really cares about his patients! All the office staff are polite and friendly. I loved this dentist office. Upon arrival they gave me a quick tour of the office since it was my first time there. Cari, my dental hygienist was amazing. She had my teeth looking PERFECT after my cleaning. My chair had a TV so I could watch HGTV while waiting for the dentist.

This could be a 5 star rating only if they could keep the dentists instead of having sooooo many changes so often. The location is beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful. I have recently been pleased with the work that Dr. Miitchell has done on my new crown. Hopefully, he will stay in this location.

This practice is nothing short of five stars. They could get me in right away to see a hygienist. Not only me but my two daughters all together at the same time. Their service is impeccable. I saw Kari The hygienist and she was amazing. She went above and beyond the call of duty making me understand everything along the way and teaching me New things. I have been to several dentists and this has by far been my best experience. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I'm never as nervous going there like I am other dentists. Plus their prices are fair, their plan you can purchase helps so much when you dont have dental insurance like me! I love the hygienist, Tara, she is amazing. I was having wisdom tooth pain, I called and got an appt on the same day. I saw Dr. Matthew Orzabal, he looked at my XR's, did a quick examination and sent me to a specialist. The experience was fast and friendly. No one lectured me about my cavities that I know I have, they did not pressure me to get a cleaning that day, nor did they pressure me to come back. I like that, and I appreciated that. I got a cool goody bag. I had such a good experience that I referred my boyfriend to go when he was having EXTREME dental pain. (He hates the dentist) He went in for a same day walk in appt, got his XR's taken, and he was also seen by Dr. Matthew Orzabal. He went in on a Thursday and his swelling was so bad from the tooth pain that they had him come back on the following Monday for the extraction. He had the extraction, everything went well, and my boyfriend was very pleased with the office atmosphere/experience. We are both very pleased with this office and will be returning for future needs/cleanings.
Very friendly and professional. When you leave if there is follow work to be done you will know exactly what pricing will be and what your insurance will or will not cover. The Dentist is not my favorite place to go to and they are very aware of that. They take very good care of me :🤗

Dr. Parker Mitchell was incredible. You will not be disappointed, I almost fell asleep because of how smooth my root canal went. I’m absolutely serious and I was very shocked myself at myself almost nodding off while he and his assistant were working on my mouth, it was very fun to say the least. I can not say enough good things about this Dr. I generally do not like going to the dentist but I’m actually excited to go back and have more work done that is needed, This is highly unusual for me.

Absolutely the best dental experience I've ever encountered in 59 years. The staff was extremely friendly and 100% compent. My very 1st appointment took 2 1/2 hours (I only spent maybe 5 minutes of that time in the waiting room. Extremely thorough exam, xrays and photographs of each and every tooth. I was then met by a wonderful, fun lady who specializes in Periodontics. She did her exam and was very informative . She completed her exam and told me the Doctor will be in shorty. No more than a minute later I had the pleasure to meet Dr.Darren Line. Turns out we went to the same colleges, Loyola University Chicago and Northwestern, Evanston, Il. Apparently Dr. Line was a very serious academic scholar, where my position was more "Entertainment" focused. After the disaster of 2007 / 2008, I could afford a lot of things like going to the dentist on a regular basis. Please never make that mistake. I've NEVER looked forward to going to the dentist, but that's now changed. I've left a few reviews over the year. Both negative to outstanding like this one. Feel free to contact me at anytime to verify my review. Or stop by Desert Dentistry, you might find me lounging in one of their extremely comfortable chair remote in hand watching whatever on each rooms 40"+ HD monitors. To remain 100% honest I did receive a small ,"goodies" bags when I left, a new toothbrush, toothpaste and floss. In no way did I nor would I accept any sort of compensation nor would I accept anything in return for simply telling the truth. I've unfortunately read that many Google "reviews" are done by compensated "humans" or e-bots. Pitiful. Thank you for the opportunity to leave my feedback.

My son was scared of the dentist and so I always had to lure him to go to the clinic. But after meeting this dentist he is no more scared of dental procedures. The dentist kept him at ease throughout. He was very friendly to my son and he made sure that nothing scared him. I recommend him highly!

I cannot put into words how amazing the staff at Desert Dentistry treat their patients. I never walk away unhappy and I am always greeted with such pleasantries! I wish every business was ran as wonderful as Desert Dentistry and of course I am always happy with the thoroughness of my exams, cleanings, and just recently the cracked tooth, from a fork, that was fixed within 24 hours. Who knew going to the dentist could be so fun! Be prepared to feel cared for and to be surrounded by some amazing professionals.
My 11-year-old kid fell down in the school and damaged one of his incisors. The dentist took his case on an emergency basis and provided him an effective solution. He immediately put my scared kid to ease. I really appreciate his efforts and good work. Recommended!

I had an abscess that I had gone to urgent care for in the middle of the night. The pain was excruciating. The day after finishing those antibiotics the pain was beginning to come back. Of course it was Saturday. I called Desert Denistry and they got me in that morning. They finished up an hour and a half after they were supposed to close. I am so grateful they took time to help me. I travel 70 miles from Sedona to have them create and install a crown as well as an implant Their staff is professional and courteous. They male you feel welcome and appreciated as a client. They use the latest technology such as 3D imaging to properly design and fit your crown or implant. I highly recommend them!!

I previously went to another dentist for my entire life. Moved over to this area the past year and chose this as my new dentist (had great google reviews!) the office is so modern and beautiful. It feels like a regular home. The staff is so kind and knowledgeable and it really shows they care about your well being. There are also tvs in the rooms! Wasn't used to that. So happy I switched to this dentist. :)

First I like to mention the wonderful staff Desert Dentistry in Surprise Az has, A+... I was always petrified going to the dentist. Never had a good experience with any facility in the past. My bad experience has left me without going to the dentist for over 8 years. Desert Dentistry made me feel comfortable from the minute I walked in to the minute I left. Cari took good care of me thorough the hole process she is a very good hygienist that makes you feel relax. Believe it or not I cant wait to go back to her to finish the deep cleaning next week! You know in Willy Wonka where before they enter the Chocolate Factory they're in a seemingly non-interesting room then suddenly Wonka opens the door to the Factory itself and it's amazing? Yeah, the waiting room was like that. Great facility, quite incredible actually and the staff was above and beyond. I was constantly checked in on, asked if I needed anything like water and felt taken care of. My dentist was Jerome Triolo and I appreciated his straightforward no-nonsense. Told me his opinion, listened in great detail to my concerns and addressed them thoroughly. I can't say how much I also appreciate a friendly staff, they were all wonderful.
